Ride a RIB boat across the cluster of islands at Lofoten, where the stunning underwater life awaits you. Book this snorkelling tour by Lofoten Opplevelser today!
Summers in Norway are cooler than in many other places, but they offer the perfect time to explore the country’s unique underwater life. In Lofoten, you can experience this in the 3000-meter-deep waters filled with fascinating marine species. Join Lofoten Opplevelser for a summer snorkelling adventure to explore the mystical Norwegian waters.
The tour begins at 11:00 am at the provider’s office in Henningsvær, where participants meet their guide and receive all necessary gear. After a brief introduction, you will change into dry suits and head to the starting point. Once on the boat, you will embark on a journey through the skjærgård, a cluster of small islands, admiring the beauty of Lofoten's glistening waters.
When the boat reaches a snorkel-friendly area, participants can dive in and explore. With 20-meter visibility during summer, you'll stick to this depth to encounter sea urchins, coalfish, jellyfish, mackerel, sea anemones, cods, crabs, starfish, and sea mice. Despite the sea temperature being between 10-16 degrees, dry suits will keep you comfortable. After an hour of exploration, the guide will assist you back on the boat for the return journey.
Participants are requested to wear woollen underwear, comfortable clothes, and warm socks under the dry suit. Bring an extra set of clothes to change into after the trip.
Minimum age for snorkeling is 12 years.
