Short Reindeer Sledding, Feeding and Sami Culture

Experience a morning with a large herd of reindeer on Tromsø Arctic Reindeer’s Short Reindeer Sledding, Feeding, and Sami Culture tour. Reindeer are social and love being around warm people. You’ll have the chance to feed them and learn about the Norwegian Sami heritage.

Arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time for a 25-minute ride to the reindeer camp. Upon arrival, enjoy a photo session with the herd before a guide gives a brief introduction. Then, embark on an exciting sled ride around the camp. After the ride, it's time to feed the reindeer and try lasso throwing on a dummy.

Later, relax in a Sami gamme and enjoy a traditional stew called bidos, with vegetarian options available if requested when booking. After a hearty meal, listen to stories from the Sami people, Norway's oldest ethnic group, and enjoy a traditional folk song, joik. After this memorable experience, you’ll be dropped off at the city centre.
