During your visit to the museum, you can explore Norwegian folklore and discover how the idea of trolls has changed over time. The museum offers you a guided journey through the magical world of trolls and takes you into the world of nordic folklore, fairy tales and mythology and helps you discover subtleties of the nordic tradition of folktales!

The museum also offers unique handmade games for children and adults. These games of logic and skill are inspired by trolls and are designed for at least two players but can be played alone. Some popular games include AR cards, troll coin catapult, sea troll fishing challenge, and troll maze game. 

The museum has a well-curated library of books about folklore and legend in Norwegian, English, and other languages. After taking a walk around the museum halls, you can sit and relax at the library and read famous fairy tales from Norway and the rest of the world. Guests can grab a coffee, hot chocolate, or tea at the coffee corner outside the reading room and gaze out the window to catch a glimpse of the Arctic Cathedral right across the ocean.

The digital museum offers a selection of fun and educational activities. This includes guided excursions, and Mystical Tromsø, where you will meet Vikings, Sami, witches, and magical creatures, and thanks to the augmented reality technology, you will see them come to life!

The museum sells magnets, postcards, cups and puzzles with the same AR features used in the museum exhibits. They also have museum maps available in Norsk, English, Deutsch, Français, Español, and Italiano.
