Husky Hike and Puppy Visit Package

Trekking is more than just another outdoor activity. It is a great way to clear your head and put things in perspective. Being outdoor on the trails with happy huskies as your companions, walking through sunlit birch woods, and having lunch around a campfire – doesn’t it sound like a dream? While trekking you can enjoy untouched nature, immerse yourself in the moment, and recharge your batteries. Follow us into the wilderness and experience it for yourself!

Upon arrival at our center, you will receive rubber boots and rain clothes if necessary. And then we are off! Our guide will take you and some of our energetic huskies out on a hike through the arctic wilderness surrounding our center. We usually do not give a dog to each guest, as our dogs are strong and trained to pull – most guests are happy to rotate handling them. Be prepared for some exercise!

After a 1.5 – 2 hours hike, a warm lunch will be served in our Gamme to restore your strength. A hot portion of Bacalao, a traditional Norwegian fish dish made from locally sourced ingredients, and a piece of our signature chocolate cake for dessert. A vegetarian option is available upon preliminary request.

After lunch, our guide will give you a tour of our dog yard and tell you all about our center, our life with the dogs, and dog sled racing. Of course, you will also have the opportunity to cuddle and play with our puppies!

If you love dogs and life outdoors, experiencing the arctic nature with a four-legged hiking buddy is an absolute must-do!

• Welcome to Tromsø Villmarkssenter, handing out rubber boots and rain clothes if needed.
• Guided hike with an experienced handler some of our energetic huskies out on a hike through the arctic wilderness surrounding our center. • Visit our puppy enclosure to play and take pictures with our future racing stars.
• Delicious lunch by the open fire in our cozy Gamme – hut; Bacalao – a fish dish that is part of the traditional Norwegian cuisine, with roots from the Portuguese culture. Coffee and tea.

Age restriction
The age limit to participate is 6 years old.
