Discover the Kistefos Museum, where contemporary art, industrial heritage, and stunning architecture blend seamlessly. Visit one of Europe's top modern art sculpture parks, explore two art museums, and enjoy a piece of Norway's history at a preserved pulp mill site.

Kistefos Museum, located on an ancient pulp mill site, is one of Europe's leading modern art sculpture parks. It features an industrial museum, two art museums, and a remarkable sculpture park set amidst picturesque scenery. The museum preserves the region's architectural and industrial heritage while showcasing contemporary art from Norway and around the world.

The Sculpture Park at Kistefos adds new sculptures annually, boasting 46 pieces by renowned global artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Fernando Botero, and Anish Kapoor. Many sculptures are site-specific, influenced by the museum’s natural and historical surroundings. The dynamic expressions of the sculptures change with the weather, making it a year-round experience.

A standout feature, The Twist, is a multifunctional structure that serves as a gallery, bridge, and sculpture. Spanning 60 meters across the Randselva River, this architectural marvel by a Danish firm has been acclaimed by international media as a must-see cultural attraction.
