Drive a snowmobile across frozen fjords and tundra near Kirkenes, switch drivers with your partner, and hunt for the green glow of the aurora borealis under the Arctic night sky.
Begin with hotel pickup in Kirkenes at around 21:00, then a short 15‑minute ride to the camp at Snow Resort Kirkenes, where your guide outfits you with warm overall, boots, mittens, balaclava and helmet. You’ll receive a full safety briefing and a hands‑on training session in how to drive the snowmobile, so even first‑timers feel comfortable.
Once ready, you’ll set off on the frozen fjord and through the wilderness towards the Pasvik Valley, taking turns driving the snowmobile two‑seated style. Along the way there will be photo stops and moments to simply take in the stillness of the Arctic night.
The tour lasts approx. 2 hours (from ~21:00) and includes transfers to/from selected hotels in Kirkenes (Thon or Scandic) or starting at the Snow Resort Kirkenes if you are staying there.
