Try Ski Touring in Norway – Mount Hårskallen

Begin your tour at the parking area or your accommodation (if your optional transport is booked). Your experienced Arctic ski guide will welcome you, fit and introduce the equipment, and teach you how to use avalanche safety gear like the transceiver, probe and shovel.

You’ll then ski up through snowy forest and open slopes at a relaxed pace. Along the way, your guide shares stories about local nature and the region’s winter landscape. At the summit of Hårskallen you’ll enjoy clear views over fjords, the Fosen Alps and rural Trøndelag countryside.

A hot drink and light snack are served while you take in the panorama. The tour finishes with a safe ski descent back down, giving you an opportunity to put into practice the techniques you learned.

With the focus on enjoying nature and learning the basics of ski touring, this tour is well suited if you’ve never tried ski‑touring before or are looking to build confidence in winter mountain terrain.

• Gentle ascent to Hårskallen (735 m) in beginner / intermediate ski touring terrain

No previous ski touring experience is needed. Just bring warm clothes and ski boots, and be prepared for winter mountain conditions. For more experienced skiers, we can arrange tailor-made ski touring trips in the Trøndelag mountains on request.

Transport from Frosta, Levanger, Verdal, or Stjørdal can be arranged. Please write in the comment field in the final booking step if you would like to be picked up.
