Drive a snowmobile across the frozen fjord near Kirkenes on a one‑hour guided tour. Includes hotel pickup, safety briefing, warm gear, and switching drivers. Available December–April.
Begin your snowmobile adventure with a hotel pickup in Kirkenes (for those staying at Thon or Scandic hotels). Travel about 15 minutes to the Snowhotel, just outside town. There, your guide will outfit you with warm clothing (overall, mittens, balaclava, and shoes) suited for Arctic conditions.
You’ll receive a clear safety briefing and hands‑on training, even if you’re new to snowmobiling. The tour is designed to be beginner‑friendly: two people share each snowmobile and switch seats during the ride to get a feel for both driving and riding.
Once you’re ready, the fun begins. You’ll ride over groomed tracks, out onto the frozen fjord, following the guide’s route through scenic winter landscapes. About 30–40 minutes is spent driving (including training time), before returning to Snowhotel. If requested, you’ll be returned to your Kirkenes hotel at the end.
This tour is available from 20 December to 30 April. It starts at 15:00, with hotel pickups available if requested at the time of booking. The total duration is approximately one hour, including gear fitting, safety briefing, and around 30 to 40 minutes of snowmobile driving.
Drivers must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid car driving license (type B), while passengers must be a minimum of 10 years old. A single supplement is available for those who wish to drive their own snowmobile instead of sharing.
Pricing varies by season and age group, with adult and child rates available. Participants are advised to wear thermal underlayers and bring a valid driver’s license. Cancellation policies may vary depending on the booking platform used.
