Head into the Arctic wilderness on a dog sledding adventure from Tromsø. Travel to Camp Tamok, gear up, and drive your own husky team through snowy trails before enjoying a warm meal in a traditional Sámi tent.
Depart Tromsø on a scenic bus ride and travel 90 minutes into the Tamok Valley, a remote area surrounded by snow-covered landscapes. On arrival at Camp Tamok, your guide will provide you with thermal suits, boots, and gloves to keep you comfortable throughout the day.
After an introduction and safety briefing, pair up with another participant and take turns guiding your own sled. One person leads the huskies as musher while the other rides as passenger, with the chance to switch roles halfway along the trail. The route includes uphill sections and narrow turns, making this activity best suited for guests with good physical fitness.
Once back at camp, spend time in the dog yard and meet the huskies. Warm up with a hot meal and drink served by the fire inside a traditional Sámi lávvu before returning to Tromsø with lasting memories of your day in the Arctic.
