Experience a live concert with Trio Tragder – a unique ensemble blending vocals, fiddle, Hardanger fiddle, harmonium, and harp lute, drawing influences from both folk and jazz. The concert takes place in Bakgården on August 21, 2025.
Join Trio Tragder for an evening of music shaped by geography, tradition, and bold musical choices. Hailing from the old Nedenæs County (now Agder), Nina Byttingsmyr, Torgeir Tønnevold Fiane, and Olaf Moen bring together a diverse set of instruments and backgrounds to explore the musical space between coast and mountain, tradition and modernity.
Their sound is rooted in the folk music of southern Norway, but stretches toward jazz and experimental elements. With a rare combination of instruments – from the resonant Hardanger fiddle to the evocative tones of the harp lute and harmonium – they create a concert experience that is both grounded and surprising.
This performance also celebrates the release of their new album on the label Etnisk Musikklubb. It’s a rare opportunity to hear their music live as they showcase pieces from the album in an intimate and atmospheric setting.
