Mandal Museum offers a journey through the town’s history, from early seafaring and fishing traditions to its artistic legacy. The main building, Andorsengården, features exhibitions on Mandal’s development, maritime history, and the fishing industry. Visitors can also admire paintings by renowned artists such as Amaldus Nielsen, Adolph Tidemand, and Olaf Isaachsen.
At Vigeland House, you’ll get a glimpse into the childhood of Gustav and Emanuel Vigeland, two of Norway’s most influential artists. A short walk away, Ballastbrygga presents interactive exhibitions on Mandal’s industrial history.
