In the city where the magnificent Gokstad Viking ship was discovered, history and nature intertwine. This unique experience takes you on a journey into the wilderness, where Vikings once roamed, and where the landscape still holds traces of their past.
Your guide will meet you at the Viking Park, Hesteskoen, Sandefjord, before leading you into the heart of nature. Along the way, you will be introduced to various wild herbs that the Vikings would have collected and used. You’ll get to taste and learn about their historical significance while immersed in the serene Norwegian wilderness.
As the journey continues, you will be safely guided into the fascinating world of wild plants and herbs by an expert who is a member of the Norwegian Society of Fungus and Herbs.
The tour starts at the Viking Park in Sandefjord and lasts approximately three hours, concluding at the same location. This outdoor experience is not accessible for wheelchair users. Dressing appropriately for the weather is recommended, and the tour is conducted in English.
