Here, you'll start your hike before the crowds arrive, climbing towards the iconic Kjerag boulder. The trail is both challenging and rewarding, with a gentler incline in the final stretch that allows you to fully appreciate the surrounding natural beauty.
As you reach the edge of the massif, you'll be greeted by the stunning sight of the Lysefjord stretching 42 kilometers below. For those who dare, standing atop the Kjerag boulder, suspended 984 meters above the fjord, is an unforgettable experience. Enjoy a relaxing lunch break while taking in the tranquility of this extraordinary location.
The hike back to the Eagle’s Nest is a reflective 3-hour descent, concluding a 12-kilometer trek that challenges and rewards in equal measure. Your guide is there throughout, providing support and safety, along with hiking poles and crampons if needed for snowy trails.
The hike to Kjerag is a strenuous 12-kilometer trek with an 800-meter ascent, requiring a good level of fitness and appropriate gear. Spring hikes may involve snow on the trails; the guide will provide necessary equipment like hiking poles and crampons to ensure safety.
Because weather conditions can change quickly, adjustments to scheduled trips may be required. If your trip needs to be postponed to another day or canceled on short notice, you will have the option to join the rescheduled trip or receive a refund.
If conditions worsen during the trip, it might be necessary to turn back on the trail or return earlier than expected. In such cases, refunds will not be provided.
