Oslo is known for its rich history, spectacular architecture, amazing cuisine, breathtaking scenic views, and bustling nightlife. Spend a day in the city with Oslo Guidebureau and learn about how the city evolved over centuries to the modern, lively capital it is today. The tour covers major attractions and focuses on stories from the Second World War.

Once all participants have arrived at the meeting point, your guide will greet you and brief you about the landmarks you'll cover during the sightseeing trip. First, you'll stop at the magnificent Akershus Fortress, which has witnessed many battles from the 14th century to the Second World War. Your guide will explain how the fortress was taken over by German forces and liberated by the Norwegian resistance movement.

Next, you'll walk towards Kristiania Torg, a historically bustling city square, before continuing to the Royal Palace. The Norwegian royals have resided here since its completion in the 1840s. The historic walking tour concludes on Karl Johan, near the Parliament. There are many eateries nearby where you can grab a bite and a hot drink. Please note that all hikes are at your own risk.
