Join Icecube of Aurora for a whale-watching tour in Alta Fjord and get up close to Northern Norway's most majestic marine creatures. A winter tour in Alta Fjord can be a magical experience; while it may be cold, the chance to see whales makes it worthwhile. Recently, whales have started appearing in Alta Fjord, migrating further north, providing us with a unique opportunity to observe them in this area.
The two most common species spotted in Alta Fjord are sperm whales and killer whales (orcas), but there are also good chances to see porpoises and hourglass dolphins. You will be fascinated by the playful and curious behavior of the younger whales, making the experience even more memorable.
Please note: There is no guarantee that you will always see whales or that the weather conditions will be optimal for spotting them. If no whales are seen within two hours, the captain may suggest switching to a King Crab Tour, if weather conditions allow, or continue searching for whales.

Round-trip transport within a range of 0-40 km (specify pick-up location). Must be ordered minimum 12 hours before the tour.

- You are eligible to receive a full refund of the booking amount if you cancel your reservation at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.
Additional Information
- The tour starts from Fiskerihavna in Alta. You must arrive 15 minutes before departure. At the meeting point, you will be provided with warm boilersuits (in cold weather) and life jackets. Once everyone is ready, you will board the boat with the captain.
- NOTE: We cannot guarantee we find whales or if the weather is optimal to spot whales for each tour.
Policy on Rescheduling Tours Due to Weather Conditions

If adverse weather conditions occur at the time and date of a booked tour, you have the option to either cancel the tour with a full refund or reschedule it to a new date.

Should you choose to reschedule rather than cancel, and a new date and time are agreed upon between you and the captain, this new arrangement becomes binding. If you does not attend the tour at the rescheduled date and time, the original booking remains valid, and payment for the tour will still be required in full.

If you are late for the tour, the boat will wait max 10 minutes after the tour's starting time and then leave for the tour. You will then be reported as a no-show and not eligible for a refund.
