Experience the breathtaking snowy landscapes of Norway on a reindeer-drawn sled with Tromsø Arctic Reindeer’s cultural tour. Over four hours, you’ll immerse yourself in Sami heritage and spend time with around 300 reindeer.
Your adventure begins with a pickup and a short ride to the camp, where you’ll be greeted by a large herd of reindeer. The highlight is a 25-30 minute sled ride through the arctic wilderness, followed by a chance to feed these friendly animals. Afterward, enjoy a delicious Norwegian meal in a traditional Sami tent, called a lavvu.
Gather around the campfire to hear stories of the Sami people, ending with a special performance of the traditional Sami folk song, joik. This unforgettable experience leaves you with memories of the day and the melodic tunes of the joik. The tour starts at 10:00 am, with select afternoon slots available.
