Join our guide on a hike through the beautiful surroundings of Sorrisniva. On this 1.5-hour hike, we’ll walk up to a Gapahuk, idyllically situated on a mountain ridge overlooking the Alta River and the surrounding landscape. Here, we’ll light a campfire and take a well-deserved break in the peaceful Arctic surroundings.

Join a local guide on a peaceful and scenic hike through the landscape around Sorrisniva. This easy hike, lasting about 1.5 hours, follows trails through the Arctic wilderness up to a shelter beautifully situated on a mountain ridge. Here, you’ll be rewarded with a fantastic view of the Alta River, the Alta Valley, and the surrounding mountains.

Along the way, the guide will share stories about the area’s nature, culture, and long-standing outdoor traditions.

Once we arrive at the shelter, we’ll light a campfire and enjoy a hot drink and a light snack while taking in the silence and the view. This is an experience for those who want to explore Arctic nature at a leisurely pace—with genuine connection, local knowledge, and a taste of Norwegian outdoor life.
